School
Teacher Record Office (STRO) has
been established in 2054 B.S (1998
AD) to facilitate maintaing teachers
record and providing their facilities
centrally as a department under
the HMGN Minisry Of Education
and Sports. The role and responsibilities
of STRO has been regularized under
the Education Regulation (2049
B.S) Sixth Revised Edition 2054
(1998). STRO has taking role and
resposibilities done before five
Education Directorates.
The office
first started in a room of Ministry
of education and sports, Kesharmahal.
In 2055 B.s (1999) STRO shifted
in Chagal, Tahachal a combined
building of Disrtict Education
Office Kathmandu.

Role and Responsibilities of
STRO
According
to the Education Regulation
2059 (second revision ) the
role and responsibilities of
STRO are:
1. Maintaining the teachers record
2. Managing the pension and
gratuidy of teachers
3. Collecting Sitroll forms
to manage personal teachers
record for pension, gratuidy
, medicine
allowance and insurance
proposes.
4. Pre-information given to
those teschers who are going
to retirement of 60 years age
limits.
5. Proposing annual teachers
payroll approvement
6. Administrating pension fund.
7. Fixing of pension, gratuidy,
medical allowances, insurance
and releseing budget for this
purpose.
8. Counting the service periods.
9. To follow the guidelines
of MOES and other activities.
